This is the logo I made for our media production Dark Room Productions. The logo denotes a gun metal coluored background and text this connotes a cold dark room which I put thought of to match the name of the production. The blood is splattered over the DR to give our production more of a horror affect and so I can do more with the opening sequence of the trailer.
The DR is rememberable and can be identified easily which is why I made our logo simple because I want people to remember it and stick in there minds I feel this logo can achieve that.
My inspiration came from Universal studios production logo as there logo was simple and the image sticks in my mind. The image sticks so much the first movie production company I thought of was universal when thinking of ideas for a production company logo.
Everything in this companies logo works so well because it's simple and eye catching. The black background of space doesn't take attention away from the main attraction which is the actual universal logo which is the world and the font. I wanted to use a simple font but make it my own by making it transparent and and almost like its coming out of the metal.
The first 5 seconds on this video is the kind of effect I want but instead of gunshot I would like to have a kind of slashing sound. The lighting in the video is also well done and seems like it would work well with the opening animation of the trailer.
For the animation the DR symbol will appear out of the dark then a heart beat will come with someone breathing heavily then there will be a slash as if somone had been slashed by a knife then someone will scream out and blood will splatter on the DR symbol.
